Plants have been used in every aspect of life  starting from medicine to the household. Plant's raw material is used in different industries such as cosmetics, clothing, food etc. Those plants which are used in the medicinal aspect are called Medicinal plants. Demand for growing medicinal plants is growing day by day as the world is increasingly concerned about health and is moving towards Ayurvedic treatment from the advance of medical treatment. Plant’s raw material export and import also contribute some significant role in the world economy. For example, Aloe vera contributes about 13 billion dollars to the world economy per annum. There are many plants which are easy to plant and have much more medicinal values with less maintenance. Here we are giving you a list of plants which you can grow in a small pot or small garden.

Medicinal properties .
It has antioxidant and antibacterial properties which help in the wound healing process. Prevent bacterial infection on the skin. Dental issues such as tooth decay and diseases of the gum. All you have to do is aloe vera mouth rinse over a 15- to 30-day period. Intake of juice will help you in digestion problem and also helps in nervous weakness, asthma, Jaundice, etc.
In beauty industries, it is used for health and glowing skins. It helps in skin improvement, lighten acne marks, reduces fine line and wrinkles.

Farming -
Aloe vera is very easy to plant and very less maintenance. It can be grown in any kind of soil. The plantation can be done by seedling plantation. Choose an area where 8 to 10 hours of sunlight are available. In winter, it requires more water, don't apply water if the leaves turn yellow. After 5 to7 months, you can pick your Aloe Vera with the help of a knife.
It can be grown in any kind of soil with light soil structure. It required very low maintenance. Keep your plant's pot in bright light. And cut the lower branch in regular intervals.

Tulsi is called "Queen of herbs" for its incredible medicinal properties. It has been cultivated in Indian and used in Ayurvedic treatment for more than 5000 years.

Tulsi inhaler is highly recommended for Asthama, Bronchitis, Colds, congestion, coughs, flu, sinusitis, sore throat and similar diseases. It also reduces the risk of stroke, heart attack, cholesterol and low blood pressure. To maintain the body sugar level you can use Tulsi in your regular tea.
Tulis are also used in cosmetics for skin brightens, dandruff, skin toner, itchiness in the scalp.


Tulsi Farming.
Start planting before 2 to 3 weeks of winter. Germination will occur after 20 to 25 days. Tulsi plants are cool sensitive so in winter you can cover a plastic bag on it. After reaching the 20 to 30 centimeters you can cut the top of the plants for better branching. Tulsi will be ready to harvest after 40 to 50 days of planting.

Coriander is a high source of Vitamin C, Vitamin K and protein. It also contains a small amount of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, thiamin. Coriander helps in the control of cholesterol, digestion-related problems. It has anti-inflammatory, anti- skeptics properties which help in arthritis and mouth ulcer treatment. It stimulates the nervous system and helps in the brain-boosting. It stimulates insulin secretion and reduces blood sugar levels.
In use in cosmetics for radiant skin, anti-ageing properties, remove the sunburn marks, skin irritant, lighten the moles, and skin toner.

Coriander Farming -
You can grow coriander throughout the year but the most suitable time is the end of the summer. After sowing the seeds start to grow within  2 to 3 weeks. Once it reaches the height of 4 to 6 inches it's ready to harvest.

It helps in the control of diabetes. Fenugreek is recommended for the newly motherhood female for breast milk production. Alleviate menstrual cramps. Prevent heart attacks. Control cholesterol bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol. Helps in weight loss.
It has been used as a home ready for skincare from the last 5000years.
Fenugreek helps glowing skins, facial toner, skin moisturizer, reduces blemishes and dark circles, and is filled up with anti aging properties. It also prevents hair fall, fights against dandruff.

Fenugreek Farming-
It can be grown in any kind of soil. Fenugreek plants are cold sensitive. You can cultivate the plants throughout the year but late summer is the best time for cultivation. It takes 3 to 5 days and gets ready for harvest in 2 to 3 weeks after germination.

Ajwani

Inhalation of ajwain inhaler during the common cold prevents nasal blockages. For instant relief from tooth-ache, gargle with a mix of lukewarm water, 1 teaspoon of ajwain and salt. Simply inhaling the fumes of burning ajwain seeds can do wonders for an aching tooth. Combine mustard oil with ajwain seeds and apply on cardboard pieces which you can tie in the corners of your room to ward off mosquitoes. The whole plant is used in Ayurvedic science. It is used in various medical conditions such as diarrhoea, stomach ache, sore throat, high blood pressure, common skin problems.

Planting is done through seed sowing and it almost takes 1 week for germination. The fruit is ready to harvest after 120 to 140 sowing.
